Amazing rain how sweet the sound,
That spreads the green we see,
Our hills were dry just dust our ground,
Bright days our enemy.
T’was far north did the storm track steer,
And drought, our fields left dry,
How precious then did rain appear,
Tears fell from many eye.
The plants turned instantly to green,
Rivers ran in a rush,
Wild creatures stirred in nature’s scene,
Yet, rain brings a quiet hush.
Amazing rain, how sweet the sound,
That spreads the green we see,
We cherish rain, that’s not profound,
Life needs water to be.
