We both knew - the trip was his last.
The shot was given - I rubbed his ear.
The drug took hold - sleep came fast.
His pain now gone - I brushed a tear.

Rock steady the Sun, Earth’s the rolling one. With precise axial tilt, Earth rotates in orbit. What a gorgeous sight, As Earth rolls into light. Dawn embraces the land, Life sings as nature planned. When the day grows long, Dusk trills a last bird’s song. What a marvelous sight, As Earth rolls into night. Rolling under starlit sky, Mythic pictures above fly. What a wondrous show, This quiet crystalline flow. As Earth rolls towards dawn’s hint, Light paints Sun’s first glint. Precious place of life’s birth, Fabulous Rock the Earth. |
